Hair Care For Short
Hair
The caring of short hair is very similar to taking care of long hair. Short
hair may take shorter time to style and less work to care, but it is still important to keep them clean,
healthy and good looking.
A regular visit to the salon every 3 to 4 weeks to trim your hair is encourage as the style of short hair will
go out of shape once the hair is longer than the original style. The visits to the salon also help you to snip off
split ends that might cause your hair to look ugly and unhealthy.
People with short hair are advised to use a mild shampoo that is low in PH value which nourish the hair and
reduce dandruffs. Condition your hair at least once a week to look shiny. Another way is to massage your scalp and
hair with warmed oil, wrap a hot towel around your hair and keep it on for 20 minutes then wash your hair. After
washing, use lemon as the last rinse to give your hair a shine.
Similarly to long hair, one who has short hair is also not suppose to comb their hair when it is wet, use a
wide-toothed comb to untangle the hair followed by a normal comb to comb your hair.
Living a healthy lifestyle is also important to keep your hair healthy. The healthier you are, the healthier
your hair is. Exercise regularly, it need not be going to the gym to lift weights, simple exercise like dancing,
walking up and down the steps or even engage in your favourite sports can help you to live a healthy life.
The food intake helps to improve in your hair condition too! It is good to include fruits and green vegetables
as well as peas and nuts in your daily meals as they are rich in the vitamins that are good for your hair. Our body
is covered with 70% of water, therefore, drinking plenty of water is good for your health, be it before, during or
after exercise. One must drink at least 8 glasses of water at least 1.8 litres of water.
