Face Shape and Hair Styles   

Our hair is an important factor to us when it comes to meeting people and how you present yourself to them, as such, knowing your face shape and what kind of hairstyle suit your face is necessary.  

Different people have different kind of face shapes, which include oval, round, oblong, heart, square, diamond and triangle. Some people may be clueless on what type of face shape they belong to, below is a small experiment for you. 

In this experiment, you will need a measuring tape or ruler, pen or pencil and a piece of paper. 

Step 1: Measure and record down the measurement across the top of yourcheekbones, from one end of the eye to another. 

Step 2: Measure across your jaw line from the widest point to widest record down the measurement. 

Step 3: Measure and record down the measurement of your forehead at thewidest point, which is halfway between your hairline and eye brows. 

Step 4:Measure from the tip of your hairline to your chin and record down.

Oval Face Shape:You will have an oval face if the length of your face is one and a half times of the width. 

Round Face Shape:Your face is round if it is as wide as it is long. 

Oblong Face Shape:You have an oblong face if it is longer than the width of your face. 

Square Face Shape:You have a square face if the width is about the length of the face may be shorter by a little. 

Diamond Face Shape:Your face is diamond shape when your cheekbones are at the widest, narrow forehead and jaw line having about the same width.  

Triangle Face Shape:You have a triangle face if your forehead is wider and narrow at the chin and jaw area. 

Heart Face Shape:Your face is heart shape when your jaw line is shorter than your cheekbones/and or forehead.
