Poor Hygiene
For hair care, poor hygiene means either not washing enough
or washing too much.
Often, hair that is shampooed every day will be dry and
lifeless as too much of the natural oils produced by the
sebaceous glands are washed away by harsh chemicals in the
shampoo. If you do shampoo daily, you may want to use a mild
baby shampoo such as Johnson & Johnson’s.
On the other hand, those who do not shampoo enough will
allow the build up of oil in their hair, giving it a greasy
appearance. This is where dandruff thrives. Once your scalp
begins to itch, it is likely that there is growth of fungus and
bacteria.
As a result, it is recommended to shampoo every other day
and to condition once or twice a week.
